Snow-shoe walking

Only 7 people turned up in time to start on the walk. It was so bitterly cold (-13°C) with a strong bise across the car park that we seriously considered only a 10-minute walk! But when we got into the woods we were sheltered from the wind and we managed to walk for a good hour, enjoying a pleasant little break for the Glühwein and biscuits that Reidar kindly carried. There was a little bit of excitement when our guide was no longer sure of the route and we took a direct line through the undergrowth to get back to the hut. There Simone joined us (she took rather too long to find the place) for an excellent fondue and social evening leaving just before 21:00.
